The mould in assembly in India

On the 26th of October we got the first pictures of the unibrick mould that was being build in India. It was an impressive piece of metal with the needed facilities for cooling during production. The cooling is needed to bring the heat of the material below the 150 degrees as quick as possible to keep the production rate as high as possible.

The mould was shipped and arrived on the 23rd of December, how’s that for a Christmas present! What a difference with that very first unibrick we made in 2018 (see post #1). With a weight of 530kg it was already a work to get it into the workshop, let alone getting it in the press. But we’ll figure that out by then.
