Visit Ghana 2023

during the visit of the school where a washroom with Unibricks is planned

This september we visited Ghana to see some of our contacts there and to meet the stakeholders of an exciting new project we got involved in. Together with Engineers Without Borders and Great Plastic Bake-Off we are planning to build a pilot washroom at a school in Kumasi (second city in Ghana).

For Unibrick this will mean a launch of the first production-line abroad and the build up of a value chain. For the last we found a great local potential partner in TrashSmart, a Kumasi based startup that focusses on the smart collection of plastics and is looking forward to run the production line for Unibricks.

We met school principals, local aldermen, possible providers of feedstock, saw possible locations to build and produce and met potential clients for further projects, in other words the entire value chain was researched and discussed. A valuable and very lively trip that will be continued!
